01Our commitment
RMSA is committed to providing a public website that can be used by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities and people using assistive technologies, different devices or slower network connections.
Our practical target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA wherever reasonably achievable.
02Accessibility measures
- Semantic page structure and a consistent heading hierarchy.
- Keyboard-accessible navigation, menus, slider controls and links.
- Visible focus indicators for interactive elements.
- Text alternatives for meaningful imagery and accessible labels for icon controls.
- Colour contrast designed for readable institutional content.
- Responsive layouts supporting mobile devices and browser zoom.
- Reduced-motion behaviour for users who request it through their device settings.
- Clear language and predictable navigation across the public website.
03Using this website
The website is intended to support keyboard navigation and modern screen readers. Users can zoom text with browser controls, navigate headings and landmarks with assistive technology, and reduce non-essential animation through operating-system preferences.
For the best experience, use a current version of a major browser with accessibility features and JavaScript enabled.
04Known limitations
Some third-party documents, older publications, externally hosted websites or partner materials may not fully meet the same accessibility standard. RMSA does not control the accessibility of RMIFC, RCOC, Members Portal or sponsor websites reached through external links.
Where an accessible version of essential RMSA information is not available, the Secretariat will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative format on request.
05Feedback and assistance
Feedback helps improve accessibility. If you encounter a barrier, please describe the page or material involved, the difficulty experienced, the browser or assistive technology used where relevant, and the format that would help you.
Accessibility feedback and alternative-format requests may be sent to the RMSA Secretariat through the organisation’s official communication channels. RMSA will review requests and respond as reasonably practicable.
06Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing responsibility. RMSA will review content, components and user feedback as the website evolves and will prioritise improvements according to user impact, technical feasibility and institutional resources.
