The Regional Maritime Security Architecture is composed of :
The two Regional Centres which are RCOC ( Regional Coordination Operational Centre based in Seychelles, institutionalising the Regional agreement on coordination of operation ) and RMIFC ( Regional Maritime Information Fusion Center based in Madagascar, created by the Regional agreement for the maritime information exchange and sharing in Western Indian Ocean) . The two agreements were signed in April 2018 in Balaclava (Mauritius).
The Centers supports the smooth flow of information, oversees shared protocols and enables the sustained cooperation needed to respond to maritime threats across the Indian Ocean region.
Through modern technologies and strategic partnerships, the Secretariat advances maritime surveillance and response capabilities for a safer regional maritime domain.
